Forfarshire u17s v Montrose u17s at Union Park on Wednesday 8th August
Montrose won the toss and put Forfarshire in to bat. Aman held the innings together with an excellent 50. Despite some tight bowling from Forfarshire, Montrose were in a good position at the half way stage of their innings as they had only lost one wicket. The turning point came when Forfarshire turned to their youngest player Scott C to bowl overs 15, 17 and 19. He took the vital wicket of their opening bat Soutar and followed this with a second wicket to finish with two for 16 in his three overs. Forfarshire eventually won an excellent match by 11 runs.

Forfarshire u17s v Strathmore u17s at Lochside on Tuesday 31st July
Strathie won the toss and batted. David in his first game returned excellent figures of three for one and in his four overs gave away just one run (from first ball he bowled). Andrew C took a good catch for the first wicket and Matthew produced a ‘Shane Warne’ type delivery to take the 9th wicket.
The bowlers all bowled a good line and length and made it difficult for the Strathie batsmen. After an unlucky start to their innings when Craig played on Forfarshire were steered to victory by Kevin and Gavin after 11.2 overs
