The next 125th Anniversary event takes place at Forthill on Tuesday,
when Forfarshire will take on Dick's select team. The match starts at 12 noon.
Following the match, the winner of the Barbados holiday will be drawn.
Monday 25th July:
Forthill Hosts Under 19 World Cup Qualifiers
The European qualifying tournament for the 2006 Under 19 World Cup is being held in the Dundee area from Monday 25th to Saturday 30th July, with Forthill hosting three games - including the crunch Scotland v Ireland tie on Thursday 28th July.
Robert and Umair are both in the Scotland squad to play against Denmark at Falkland on Monday, Holland at Forthill on Tuesday, and Ireland at Forthill on Thursday. The top two teams fr, om this division will qualify for, the World Cup to be held in Sri Lanka next year.
Division 2 sees teams from Belgium, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Israel and Italy all competing in the annual European Tournament.

Weekend Results
Forfarshire sit in third place of the SNCL North division after a convincing win at Arbroath on Saturday 16th July.
A good all round batting display saw the challenging total of 257 scored, Drummy top scoring with 63. When Forfarshire took to the field, Quinno produced another tight spell, removing both openers quickly, and finished with 4-19 from 10 overs as Arbroath were bowled out for 170.
Strathmore's batsmen made full use of the favourable batting conditions at Forthill on Saturday as they raced to 318-6 in 45 overs, Steven Blackie hitting 142. Forthill kept up with the run rate initially but were eventually all out for 199, LJ making 50.
The third team's friendly against Meigle saw Gav produce his best batting performance to date, scoring 79 out of Forthill XI's 197-8. Ted and Elliot removed Meigle XI's middle order with three wickets apiece, Meigle being 107 all out in the 34th over, Sean Willoughby making 35.
Friday 15th July:
SNCL Select Make Light Work of u19's Total
Scotland's u19 team took on an SNCL select side at Forthill on Friday 15th July as part of their preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifying tournament.
Batting first, the under 19's reached 190-6 thanks mainly to a late flourish from Umair (42 from 40 balls) and 31 from Richie Berrington of Greenock. Pick of the SNCL bowlers was Neil MacRae with 3 for 25. The league select side never looked in any trouble, although lost some late wickets to finish on 191-5 with 10 overs to spare. Jordan Sheed from Prestwick hit an excellent 69 along with 67 from Neil MacRae, Umair taking 3 for 39 from 7 overs.

Wednesay 13th July:
ICC Trophy Final: Man of the Match Award for Ryan
Ryan was named Man of the Match as Scotland won the 2005 ICC Trophy, defeating Ireland by 47 runs in Clontarf on Wednesday 13th July.
Ryan hit 94 from 99 balls as Scotland reached their highest ever one day total of 324 for 8, and shared a 2nd wicket partnership of 120 with Fraser Watts. In reply, Ireland finished on 277 for 9, Ryan bowling 9 tight overs to take 1 for 45.

Saturday 9th July:
557 runs in 90 overs - But Forthill Lose Out
Forthill came an agonising 11 runs short of victory in a high scoring game against Stoneywood Dyce at Forthill on Saturday (9th July).
An excellent 124 from Matty Cohen saw Stoneywood reach 284, however Forthill never gave up the chase, and , 50's from openers Lindsay and John, followed by a quick 30 from Bryce saw Forthill get off, to a great start.
With the run rate rising, 52 not out from Ian and 32 not out from Blackie proved just not enough to reach the target, although Ian's six over extra cover lifted spirits for a while.

Saturday 9th July:
Forfarshire Win Again
The first team continued their good form in the National League with a win over Stirling County at Williamfield on Saturday (9th July).
Forfarshire reached 209-9 thanks to 50 from Omy, 43 from Robert and a very valuable 42 from Neily on his SNCL debut. 25 points were secured by bowling out Stirling for 154, Quinno taking 3 for 25.

Tuesday 5th July:
Scotland Qualify For 2007 World Cup
Ryan - Man of the Match v Namibia
Ryan Watson helped Scotland reach the final of the ICC Trophy currently being played in Ireland, and in doing so Scotland secured a place in the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies.
Ryan received the man of the match award against Namibia his 87 and 1 for 44, much to the delight of the travelling Forfarshire fans.
Then in the crucial game against Holland, Ryan’s 4 for 24 was the top bowling performance as Holland were bowled out for 123, and Scotland secured their a World Cup place.

Saturday 2nd July:

The second team's ace reporter was sidelined this Saturday (2nd July) due to a weightlifting injury, but turned up with his pens instead of his bowling boots.

Forfarshire win against Freuchie
Meanwhile at Forthill, Forfarshire secured an important win over Freuchie, Umair scoring an excellent 67 out of Forfarshire's 146 before taking 4 for 19 to complete a good days work, Freuchie being bowled out for 127.

Scottish Cup Quarter Final
Forfarshire's Scottish Cup run came to a nail-biting end at Forthill on Sunday 26th June as Grange won on the last ball of the game.
Set 211 to win, Grange required one from the last ball and got that from a leg-bye.

Under 13's Scottish Cup Finalists
Forfarshire under 13s reached the Scottish finals day of the National Knockout, held at Doo'cot Park on Sunday 26th June.
Forfarshire beat Carlton in the semi finals, Kevin taking 6 wickets, but lost the final to Watsonians. Watsonians 124-6 (Aman 3-21) Forfarshire 105-2 (Aman 32, David 30)

Kinloch Centenary Tournament
Forthill took a break from their league schedule to play in Kinloch's Centenary 20/20 Tournament at St.Andrews on Sunday 26th June - and came just four runs short of collecting the trophy.
Teams from Dundee HSFP, Norwood and Kinloch took part in the event, and all are keen to see a similar event repeated next year.

Batting first against Norwood, Forthill XI posted 97, Craig holding the batting together with a fine 27, including a hook for 6 over square leg - an innings that was later to see him receive the "Man of the Tournament" award from Kinloch's Ron Flight. A place in the final was secured by tight bowling and fielding, with Dean bowling a good final over in tense conditions, to restrict Norwood to 94.
Another excellent display in the field saw Forthill XI bowl Kinloch out for 64 in the final, but equally tight bowling from Kinloch, and on a difficult batting wicket, saw Forthill finish 4 runs short of victory.

Forthill Back to Winning Ways at Rossie
Forthill had a convincing win over Rossie at Inchture on Saturday 25th June. Cameron and Neil set the foundations for a good total with an opening stand of 80 and when Rossie Priory batted it was Asif and Rusty that were on form with the ball, reducing Rossie to 118 all out, chasing Forthill’s 191.

Forfarshire v Stoneywood/Dyce
In Saturday's first team game at Forthill, Forfarshire finished up 28 runs short of Stoneywood's 190. Howie was pick of the bowlers again with a useful 4-27 followed by 40 with the bat, but it wasn't enough to secure 25 points. Quinno's match report

Forfarshire u21's v The Forty Club
In the first of the matches organised as part of the Clubs 125th Anniversary Events, the Scottish Forty Club won by 51 runs.
Batting first, the Forty Club scored 228 for 9 in 40 overs, ex-club skipper David Johnston top scoring with 83, Jerry Moir hitting 38, along with 37 from Barry. Pick of the bowlers was Sam with 2 for 19 from a 7 over spell.
In reply, Neil hit 60 and Blackie 43 as the under 21's reached 177 for 8, Dale de Neef taking 4 for 39 in 8 overs.

Huntly v Forthill
Forthill made the long trip to Huntly on Saturday 18th June, and just failed to come away with maximum points. Neil and Cameron once again gave Forthill a great start, putting on 119 for the first wicket on a difficult batting wicket. Despite a determined performance from Forthill, Huntly scored the winning runs with 2 overs to spare.

Thirds Win at Rossie Priory
The third team recorded a fine victory over Rossie Priory on Sunday 19th, passing Rossie's total of 90 with 4 wicket remaining.
The match was played in amazing weather conditions, the outfield and wicket being wet due to the unusually high humidity.

Comfortable win at Bannockburn
Forfarshire's first visit to Bannockburn saw a comfortable win over St.Modans on Saturday, Howie's five wickets and Ryan's 80 not out being the highlights.

Stenhousemuir v Forfarshire
Weekend Report - 4th /5th June
No first or second team games were completed on Saturday 4th June due to bad weather although play started in both matches. At Stenhousemuir, the home side were bowled out for 108, but when rain finally put an end to the match, Forfarshire were 24 for the loss of 5 wickets.

At Forthill, the second team scored 182 against Perth on a very wet wicket. Just nine overs of the second innings were possible before rain put an end to play, with Perth on 49 for no wicket.
The third team's game against Montrose on Sunday 5th went ahead, Forthill XI reaching 186-5 in 45 overs, with Montrose 78-8 in reply. Read the match report here.
Wednesday 1st June:
Robert in European Academy Squad
Robert Cannon has been named in a fifteen man squad to attend the 2005 European Cricket Academy being held in Loughborough, home of England's National Academy.
The three week program includes three one-day games against England under 17's and a two-day game against Warwickshire County Board under 19’s.
When not playing matches, the squad will be trained by specialist coaches including former England cricketers Mike Gatting and Jeremy Snape.

Saturday 21st May:
Cameron’s Ton
Cameron Miers scored his first century for the Club on Saturday 21st May.
Cameron hit 152 out of Forthill’s total of 279-6 against Meigle. Neil Martin scored 53 in an opening partnership worth 188 in just 32 overs.
In reply, Meigle scored 268-8 led by pro Sean Willoughby's 134.
Tight bowling at the end by John Findlay (4 for 14) and Graeme Black (2 for 55) secured victory for Forthill.

2005 Pool Tournament Starts
Several matches in Howie's pool league have now taken place. The first match saw group three favourite Neil Martin play the President in front of a large crowd, Neil sinking the black first.
